Membership Requirements

Active Member: Has the right to vote and to be elected, and must meet the following requirements:

1 – Must hold at least an intermediate diploma in geography and related fields, such as engineering, surveying, geographic information systems, remote sensing, etc.

2. To pay the financial obligations associated with membership.

3. Compliance with the association's regulations and instructions.

4. Submit an application for membership in the association using the form provided for this purpose and be endorsed by two members of the association.

5. He has reached the age of 18.

6. The applicant must have full legal capacity.

7. To work toward advancing the Association’s objectives and contributing to the implementation of its work and activities.

Associate Member:An associate member is subject to the same requirements as an active member, with the exception of clause (1/a), and does not have the right to vote or be elected.

Supporting Member: A member selected by the Governing Body (Board) for providing material or moral support. Universities, institutes, cultural organizations, and public and private institutions in the Kingdom—represented by their presidents or their designees—are accepted as supporting members of the Association; they do not have the right to vote or be elected.

Honorary Members: Jordanian and non-Jordanian individuals who have made a special contribution to the advancement of geographical knowledge and related sciences, or who have made significant financial, material, or moral contributions to the Society; they do not have the right to stand for election or to vote.

Any person is entitled to apply for membership in the association, provided that they meet the above requirements.
